"I bought this in the 3-pack of neutral colors: black, white, and ivory. And I am very surprised that no one has recommended these mock neck dickies, before me, the first person to review them! I have purchased turtleneck dickies before from stores, and they were okay but not as well made as Blair's, nor as generously cut. These dickies are about as big as a bib, so you can even wear them under an open-necked shirt!

Here are the dimensions of this one-size-fits-all item: 9 inches from the bottom of the finely ribbed mock neck to the bottom of the dickie in front, and a bit longer in back, about 10 inches there. At the beginning of the taped shoulder seams, this dickie extends a full 4 inches to either side, so it can accomodate a rather wide V-neck sweater overtop of it. All edges of the dickie are stitched through and don't curl up.

I LOVE the fact that this is a MOCK neck dickie, because I can wear it longer for a polished layered look, before it gets too summery hot. On me - and keep in mind that I have a small dimension neck - the mock neck is NOT AT ALL close fitting against my skin (which I love), but not too baggy loose, either. It stands up nice and perky 2 inches high, without sagging.

The 60% cotton, 40% polyester knit cloth is as soft and lightweight as a quality brand of panties. Which means it is on the thin side, rather than bulky, and therefore doesn't show edge lines through your shirt... Nor does it look too coarse or "heavy" underneath a lightweight shirt, such as a classic button-down oxford. The material is "understated" enough to match up with the weave and weight of any kind of cloth top. I even wore the black one under a green long-sleeved gauze tunic this winter, with black slacks. The black dickie really "pulled together" the entire look of the outfit to create a very "polished" dressed effect!!!

Another thing I love: there are times in winter when I want to wear a thin, short-sleeved or sleeveless underwear top for just a little extra warmth beneath my blouse or sweater top, but the neckline shifts around and it ends up peeking out... But not with this dickie on to hide it!!!

My only wish is that Blair would stock these great dickies in more colors, like pink, purple, or turquoise. (I don't look good in red or navy.) THANKS, BLAIR!!!"
